Roblox's FischFright 3 event brings a thrilling seasonal challenge, and snagging the six limited-edition Halloween rods is a hot ticket for players eager to boost their fishing game. These rods don't just look cool; they offer a range of stats and special perks, making them crucial for mastering the event and standing out on the leaderboard.
During FischFright 3, six exclusive rods become available, each tied to unique quests or rituals in Caustic Hallow. Securing these rods requires tracking down rare fish, gathering mutated items, and triggering special event mechanics that test your fishing prowess and event knowledge.
Unlocking all six Halloween rods demands dedication. From tackling the Youngster Goblin’s tasks to completing complex rituals, you’ll encounter plenty of surprises and challenges. The rods—Boglin Branch, Eldritch, Webweaver, Doomsekkar, Dutchman’s Rod, and Omniscient Spinecaster—each come with their own stats and unique passive abilities that enhance your fishing experience.
The six new rods in FischFright 3 divide into those earned by completing NPC quests or event milestones, and those that require finishing intricate rituals. This mix ensures a varied playstyle and offers goals for both casual and seasoned players.
There are six new rods available during FischFright 3, and each one has a different unlock requirement. Four rods come from NPC quests or event progression, while the Dutchman’s Rod and Omniscient Spinecaster require players to complete rituals.
Here’s a quick rundown of how to earn each rod:
Boglin Branch: Complete the Youngster Goblin questline.
Eldritch Rod: Achieve Hex Energy Level 11 by offering ingredients to Beatrix’s cauldron.
Webweaver Rod: Finish Webby Winston’s trio of quests and buy the rod with Treats.
Doomsekkar Rod: Accomplish Doomsekkar’s fishing and haunted spirit quests.
Dutchman’s Rod: Complete the Dutchman’s Blessing Ritual.
Omniscient Spinecaster: Complete the final and toughest Omniscient Ritual.
The Boglin Branch is your first major Halloween rod, earned by following the Youngster Goblin’s questline located next to Beatrix’s Cauldron in Caustic Hallow. Starting the quest is as simple as chatting with the Youngster Goblin and then tracking your objectives carefully.
This quest involves five key objectives to complete:
Complete three Goblin Challenges at Normal difficulty or above; easy green-outlined goblins won't count.
Hand over 10 Witch’s Ingredients of any type to the Youngster Goblin.
Secure one Boglin Skull.
Obtain one Boglin Twig, sometimes called a Boglin Fang in the quest text.
Collect one set of Boglin Wraps.
After finishing the tougher challenges, you can farm Goblin Challenges at any difficulty level to gather the Boglin items. Keep in mind that these drops are rare and you might need several attempts before collecting all parts.
It’s typical for players to get stuck here due to the rarity of the Boglin parts. Persistence is key, so keep at it until your quest tracker shows you've completed everything needed.
Stat-wise, the Boglin Branch balances good Luck with solid Lure Speed. Its high max weight capacity of 550,000 kg means it can handle heavy catches during the event without problems.
The Boglin Branch offers a strong Luck stat and decent Lure Speed, making it a useful option for players who want to catch rare fish during the event. Its maximum weight capacity is also high enough to handle fish weighing up to 550,000 kg.
Lure Speed: 80%
Luck: 180%
Control: 0.05
Resilience: 20%
Max Kg: 550,000 kg
The Eldritch Rod is connected to Beatrix the Witch’s cauldron. This syncs well if you’re already gathering Witch’s Ingredients for the Boglin Branch, letting you work on both rods simultaneously.
To earn this rod, find Beatrix by her tree and interact with her cauldron, choosing to offer ingredients. Each ingredient boosts your Hex Energy by one, so keep offering until you reach Level 11.
At Hex Energy Level 11, claim your Eldritch Rod reward. Along the way, you’ll unlock other items like Witch’s Pot furniture, Coffin Bobber, and Black Licorice, which add to the event’s festive flair.
Eldritch Rod Stats
The Eldritch Rod offers excellent Luck and Lure Speed with an infinite max weight capacity, making it a favorite for catching rarer, heavier fish during the event.
Lure Speed: 90%
Luck: 230%
Control: 0.05
Resilience: 15%
Max Kg: Infinite
The Webweaver Rod requires completing three quests given by Webby Winston in Webridden Cavern beneath Caustic Hallow. These tasks can be done at the same time, making it easier to track progress.
To get the Webweaver:
Trick-or-treat at 16 different houses using the Candy Bucket—revisiting houses won’t count twice.
Catch 15 Cobweb Cod in Webridden Cavern’s green waters.
Catch 10 fish with the Webbed mutation, also inside Webridden Cavern.
Once all three quests are done, Webby rewards you with 1,000 Treats, the exact price for purchasing the Webweaver Rod. This means if you save the reward, you won’t need extra Treats to buy it.
Keep those Treats saved for the final purchase and avoid spending them on other event items beforehand.
Webweaver Rod Stats and Passive
The Webweaver Rod shines with stellar Luck and the highest Lure Speed among the event rods, plus a unique Spider Web passive that spawns spiders every 10 seconds, mutating fish with Webbed for easier catching.
Lure Speed: 125%

Control: 0.03
Resilience: 10%
Max Kg: Infinite
Passive — Spider Web: Periodically spawns spiders that cause nearby fish to get the Webbed mutation, boosting your chances at specific catches.
Unlocking the Doomsekkar Rod entails completing Doomsekkar’s three-part questline by the Halloween graveyard near Webridden Cavern. Objectives focus on fishing skill and special event encounters.
The requirements include:
Catch 100 fish from Frightful Pools, which are glowing temporary fishing spots. You can spawn one yourself for 3,000 Treats via the Flying Dutchman’s store.
Make 50 Perfect Catches during fishing.
Capture the haunted spirit inside the right haunted house in Caustic Hallow once it appears.

Capture the haunted spirit inside the correct haunted house in Caustic Hallow.
Since catching fish in Frightful Pools can also increase your Perfect Catches, you can handle the first two goals simultaneously for efficiency.
How to Capture the Haunted Spirit
To catch the haunted spirit, watch for a server alert indicating a haunted house has spawned. The correct house glows with a green number.
Here’s how to capture the spirit step-by-step:
Equip your Candy Bucket before you head to the house.
Knock on the door and choose any dialogue option.
Keep your cursor on the moving ghost to capture it fully.
You’ll be teleported to a special area once caught.
Use your Magic Mirror to exit back to the main map.
After finishing all objectives, return to Doomsekkar to unlock the rod and earn 3,000 Treats as a bonus reward.
Doomsekkar Rod Stats and Passive
The Doomsekkar Rod boasts the highest Luck at 275% and a robust Lure Speed of 100%, alongside infinite max weight. However, its resilience is a staggering negative -666%, making it less forgiving when reeling in tough catches.
