LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight challenges players with clever puzzles scattered through Gotham’s streets, putting your problem-solving skills to the test. The Riddler puzzles stand out as tricky brainteasers that demand focus and a knack for spotting clues, making them a must-conquer for any completionist right now.

These puzzles unlock progressively, often requiring specific characters like Nightwing or Batgirl to get past certain obstacles. Some players might get stuck trying to complete all of them in one go, but knowing when to jump between puzzles based on available characters can streamline the process dramatically.

Tricorner

The Tricorner district is your first stop and home to nine Riddler puzzles. As the earliest area unlocked on the map, it’s vital to learn the basic puzzle mechanics there before moving on.

Riddler Puzzle 1

This introductory puzzle teaches the foundations through three Mirror puzzles that all revolve around replicating reflected images onto physical pedestals.

Mirror Puzzle 1

You’ll see three pedestals before a mirror showing objects arranged differently from reality. Your goal is to add a missing bear figurine to the first pedestal to match the mirror’s image. The bear sits just ahead to the right of where you entered this puzzle area.

Mirror Puzzle 2

This puzzle also wants you to recreate a reflected scene. Start by swapping candles from the first to the third pedestal. Then, break boxes near a wall marked with the number "1" to find a tiny statue of a human with a hat—place that on the first pedestal. Lastly, grab the flower vase found up the stairs at the ledge’s end and place it on the middle pedestal.

The flower finishes this setup perfectly, so be sure to head back for it if you miss it at first.

Mirror Puzzle 3

For the last mirror challenge, you need to arrange a flower and a stereo to match the reflection. The stereo is to your left—break crates nearby to uncover it, then place it on the second pedestal. Retrieve the flower from the previous puzzle’s middle pedestal and relocate it to the first pedestal of this puzzle. Completing this final mirror setup will clear your first Riddler puzzle mission.

Riddler Puzzle 2

Required Character: Nightwing

This rooftop puzzle has a locked piece behind a cage needing electrical power. First, smash the safety box and rebuild it, then find two batteries to power up the mechanism. Use your special vision to trace the power cables leading to these batteries: one small, one large.

The small battery is found by breaking crates opposite the puzzle on the roof, while the bigger four-cylinder battery lies on the lower level near a big structure. Insert each battery into the correct power supplies—the small on the right, the large on the left.

Once powered, Nightwing’s baton can activate the cage’s power switch, releasing the puzzle piece.

Riddler Puzzle 3

Required Character: Batman

Use Batman’s special vision from the puzzle location to follow the power cable leading to the puzzle mechanism. Spin the handle, then throw Batarangs only at green-lit signs with ticks. Ignore all red 'X' signs. Hitting all six green signs unlocks the puzzle piece.

Riddler Puzzle 4

Required Characters: Catwoman, Batman

After using the Batclaw to open a box, Catwoman’s whip controls a forklift that raises a platform full of crates. Destroy these crates to find a handle that operates the mechanism connected to the locked box. Turn it to free the puzzle piece.

Riddler Puzzle 5

No character restrictions. Use your special vision to spot the Riddler cube hanging high above the building. Activate lifts by powering them with batteries found at nearby question mark icons.

Grab the first battery by climbing to the top green question mark, then insert it to power the lift. Use the lift to reach a second battery on your left, powering a lower question mark. Insert that to move further up. Finally, take a battery powering the lift, then use the grapple to access the last power source and unlock the cube.

Riddler Puzzle 6

No character restrictions. This cube is protected by an electric security system. Trace the blue cable with your grapple and reach a building with a platform containing a pressure plate that disables the electricity.

Ride the gust of wind from a nearby building using your glider or grapple, then glide to the pressure plate. Standing on it cuts the power and allows safe access.

Riddler Puzzle 7

Required Characters: Batman, Nightwing

The puzzle is controlled by a nearby building with green-lit windows and cables connecting three different floors to lighting targets. Use special vision to locate these cables and plan your shots.

From a vantage point across a broken road, hit targets on the top floor until the 1st and 4th lights glow. On the middle floor, only the 4th light should be lit. The lowest roof has three lights—the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th—that need to be activated.

Keep shooting targets until you match this lighting pattern to release the puzzle piece.

Riddler Puzzle 8

Required Characters: Robin, Gordon

Seal a hole on the container’s right side with Gordon’s foam device, then pry open its door with Robin. Break the nearby objects to reveal and retrieve a battery, then insert it into the container. The puzzle piece will pop out from the top onto the floor.

Riddler Puzzle 9

If we follow the wire connected to the middle floor, we will reach these lights which can have only one bulb lit at a time.

The third and lowest wire lead to a roof slightly ahead of the Riddler cube. In this case, 3 bulbs can be lit at a time.

Keep hitting the targets until the the top one has the 1st and 4th lights on, the middle one only has the 4th light on and the lowest one has the 2nd, 3rd and 4th lights on. The Riddler puzzle should then be complete.

Riddler Puzzle 8

Required Character: Robin, Gordon

No character restrictions. Prepare for the last puzzle by ensuring you have access with any character to the final location.

Insert the battery in the opening you got after Robin broke the door and the Puzzle pieve should jump out from the top of the container onto the floor.

Riddler Puzzle 9

Required Character: Anyone.
