By April 19, 2026, the inaugural season of Square Enix's 3v3 gacha arena fighter Dissidia Duellum: Final Fantasy wrapped up, locking in player rankings across the board. Those still playing through April can rack up progression on season passes, with the game sweetening the deal by awarding 1,000 Mog Points for logging in and engaging in Ranked battles before the next season launches.

Square Enix has officially announced that the second season, dubbed Warriors Assemble, will launch on April 28, 2026. This new chapter celebrates the milestone of featuring sixteen characters, each representing a mainline Final Fantasy installment, expanding the roster's depth and variety.

Along with the launch of Warriors Assemble, two new fan-favorites are joining the roster: Rikku from Final Fantasy X and Clive Rosfield from Final Fantasy XVI. Players can pull for these characters through dedicated banners—one featuring the character tickets to add them for good and another showcasing their UR and SR abilities purchasable with Mog Points.

Square Enix has also outlined a list of gameplay tweaks and fixes coming with the patch on April 27, addressing control responsiveness, camera settings post-Bravery Burst, mission completion bugs in Challenge Battles, instant battle end after boss defeat, scoring updates, and ranking adjustments to balance competitive play.

Dissidia Duellum: Final Fantasy Patch Update April 27, 2026
  1. Resolved controls freezing after character defeat or boss cutscenes
  2. Introduced camera direction choice after Bravery Burst actions
  3. Fixed issue blocking mission clears in Challenge Battles
  4. Battle ends immediately if boss HP drops to zero mid-ability animation
  5. Adjusted baseline battle scores and scoring system to better reflect Bravery sharing
  6. Changed fixed ability levels in Casual Battle mode
  7. Prevented rank drops outside ranking event periods after defeat
  8. Reduced ranking point loss on defeat based on combat power disparities in Season Ranked battles

With Rikku and Clive joining the fray, the relentless release pace of new characters is expected to slow, shifting focus toward diversifying banner types. Rather than introducing two fresh fighters every fortnight, updates will now emphasize curated content to match the milestone of a full-party lineup representing each main Final Fantasy game.

Dissidia Duellum: Final Fantasy remains available for download on Android and iOS, inviting players to jump into its evolving arena battles right from their mobile devices.
