Blood of the Dawnwalker challenges players to do more than just fight or explore; some quests demand careful investigation. The Lost Blood quest nudges players into detective mode, tasking them with delivering a mysterious letter to its owner within a time limit, adding urgent tension to an already immersive experience.
Start by finding the letter itself. Head to St. Tyna’s Trails , near the Pilgrim’s Grove Shrine fast travel point. From there, venture west toward the treeline that borders one of Ambrus’ Camps . This is where your search begins.
At the treeline, you’ll encounter a Malnourished Murohn ready to attack on sight. Defeat the creature, then loot its body to discover a letter addressed to a man’s father. This sets the quest in motion, prompting Coen to guide you toward Silberstein in Svartrau City, where the letter’s recipient awaits.
Upon arrival in Svartrau City, you'll notice the quest marker covers a large district since the exact recipient is unknown. The man you need to find isn’t one of the wandering NPCs but a merchant located in Silberstein, which the game hints at through your dialogue and map markers.
Approach the merchant and hand over the letter. This action consumes one time segment in the quest timer. The subsequent dialogue, while impactful, doesn’t influence the outcome. Upon learning about his son’s death, the merchant closes his shop and asks you to return the following day.
Speak the the man’s father to deliver the letter (This will consume 1 segment of time) and proceed to watch the follow dialogue exchanges, your choices will have no impact on the quest or your final reward. After learning that his son has died, the merchant will close his shop for the day and ask you to return tomorrow.
On your return, he inquires whether you still possess his son’s ring. Your response doesn’t affect the quest’s conclusion but may lead to selling the ring to him if you have it. This interaction finalizes the Lost Blood quest, resolving the story with a somber yet fulfilling moment.
