The Museum in Moonlight Peaks is a rich side activity that transforms your collected treasures into permanent exhibits rather than just selling them off. From fish and critters to crops, artifacts, and unique dishes, the Museum preserves a snapshot of your adventurous journey through the game world.
Not all items are easy to come by; several are tied to rare weather conditions, specific seasons, or even certain times of day. Missing a single elusive donation can stretch your quest completion by weeks, turning the Museum into a challenging but rewarding collection effort.
This Moonlight Peaks Museum guide has everything you need to complete the Moonlight Peaks Museum. You don’t have to search between multiple pages. Here, you’ll find:
- Every museum collection and donation.
- Fish locations, rarity, weather, and rod requirements.
- Critter spawn locations and seasons.
- Farming collection requirements.
- Recipes for cooked donations.
- Artifact and furniture locations.
- Community-discovered spawn information.
- Museum tips and frequently asked questions.
We’ll continue updating this guide as new information becomes available and more players verify hidden item locations.

Accessing the Museum isn’t available right out of the gate. It opens as part of Jada’s storyline, nudging players deeper into the town’s supernatural lore and community life before they can start contributing.
You won’t get access to the Museum at the starting of the game. The Museum opens through Jada’s questline, so you’ll have to progress through the main story before you can start donating items.
The process happens in two main quests.
Step 1: Help Jada Build the Scooter Museum
The first step involves aiding Jada as she converts an old scooter into a quaint supernatural museum. This quest requires fetching four artifacts from the leaders of distinct supernatural families, each presented only after completing specific favors for them.
After Jada arrives, talk to her regularly and give her gifts to increase your friendship. She’ll eventually discover an old scooter and decide to turn it into a small supernatural museum.
To complete this quest, collect four artifacts from the leaders of the supernatural families:
- Brook (with Saga’s assistance)
- Dragan
- Fiona
- Orlock
Gathering these artifacts and returning them to Jada marks the completion of the Scooter Museum.
Each character asks you to complete a small favor before handing over their artifact. Once you’ve collected all four, return them to Jada to finish the Scooter Museum.
Step 2: Open the Main Museum
Next, players help open the main Museum by cleaning an abandoned building east of Town Hall, decorating it, and inviting townsfolk to the grand opening. This event ushers in the full Museum experience where you can start donating your collected finds.
This quest takes place at the abandoned building east of Town Hall.
Your objectives are:
- Help clean the park.
- Decorate the museum area.
- Invite townsfolk to the grand opening.
Don’t worry if most villagers decline your invitation. That’s part of the event and doesn’t prevent the quest from completing.
After the grand opening cutscene ends, the Museum will officially open, and you can start donating items.
Every room has its own donation board. Simply interact with the ! sign and choose the required item from your inventory.
The museum currently includes these collections:
| Collection | Required Donations |

| Deity Room | Four deity artifacts |
| Farming Room | All 2-Star crops |
| Aquarium | Every fish species |

Each Museum room has its own donation board marked with a ! symbol, making donating a smooth process once you’ve unlocked the Museum.
How to Donate Items?
- Walk into the Museum.
- Enter the magical portal.
- Choose the collection room to access.
- Interact with the ! donation sign.
- Select the required item from your inventory to donate.
Be mindful that some collections, like Farming, accept only 2-Star quality crops and cooked dishes, and certain furniture requires exact material or color variations.

Remember these requirements before donating:

- Some furniture decorations only work with specific material or color variants. If one version isn’t accepted, craft another variant and try again.
Tip: Keep at least one copy of every rare item until you’ve checked whether the Museum needs it or not. Many players accidentally sell an artifact or rare fish and regret it after searching for another one for several in-game day.
The Aquarium demands every fish species in Moonlight Peaks . Some fish are common and appear anywhere, but rare ones require specific conditions like weather, season, or time of day. Upgrading your fishing rod to Premium or Enchanted is essential for catching the rarer specimens reliably.
The Aquarium requires you to donate every fish in Moonlight Peaks. While some fish appear almost anywhere, others only spawn during specific weather, seasons, or time windows.
If you’re trying to finish the Museum quickly, upgrade to a Premium or Enchanted Fishing Rod as soon as possible. Several rare fish cannot be caught reliably with the basic rod.

Moonlight Peaks Critter Collection
The Critter Collection stretches across many different creatures that inhabit Moonlight Peaks. Each has unique spawn requirements, from season and weather to player interactions like harvesting or breaking objects. This line of collecting demands patience and persistence.
If you’re trying to complete the Museum as early as possible, make sure to not sell your first copy of every critter you catch. Several players didn’t realize it, and the Museum require them much later in the game.
