A critical milestone for any spellcaster is reaching the apex of their magical tome. Obtaining this power requires embarking on an arduous journey known as the Inner Connection questline. The path presents a combination of combat milestones, map exploration, and a challenging boss encounter designed to test your mastery of the game's mechanics.
This walkthrough outlines every phase of the questline, covering initial level requirements, the trials for activating each statue, meditation paths, and tactical combat advice to bring down the spirit boss so you can claim your Grimoire's ultimate ability.
How to Begin the Inner Connection Quest
Before you can initiate the storyline, your character must reach Level 75. Once you have attained the necessary level, take the following steps:
- Travel to the Wizard Tower.
- Speak with the quest-giving NPC to accept the Inner Connection task.
- Follow the visible quest indicator leading toward the portal.
- Step through the portal to arrive in the trial area housing four large statues.
Activating the Four Statues
To proceed, you must satisfy four distinct performance milestones to activate each corresponding statue:
- 25 Player Kills: Defeat other players through open-world PvP combat.
- 10 World Bosses: Track down and slay ten world bosses.
- 20,000 Evolution EXP: Accumulate character progression experience.
- 10,000 Magic Damage: Deal magical damage during your battles.
Tips for Farming World Bosses
Defeating ten world bosses is typically the most time-consuming requirement. Streamline your progress with these targets:
- Bile: Located within the Spectral Keep, offering a straightforward encounter.
- Arachne: Found in the Alchi Cavern. Summoning Arachne requires collecting three Alca Cores, which drop from standard spiders or the Spider Queen.
- Dungeon Encounters: Slaying end bosses in dungeon runs also credits progress toward your ten-boss objective.
Once all four objectives are completed, the statues will glow brightly. Return to the portal and interact with it to proceed to the next phase.
Completing Inner Connection 2
The second stage of the questline focuses on reflection rather than combat grinding. Follow the navigation markers displayed on your map to locate specific meditation points.
- Travel to each marked waypoint in sequence.
- Perform meditation at every designated spot.
- After finishing all meditation tasks, step through the portal to enter the Sanctuary of Inner Light.
Defeating the Grimoire Spirit Boss
Upon arriving in the Sanctuary of Inner Light, turn around and interact with the statue standing behind your spawn location. This triggers the duel against the Grimoire Spirit.

- Refine Your Build: If incoming damage overwhelms you, adjust your stats or gear to favor higher defensive resilience and burst damage before re-entering the arena.
Once the spirit falls, interact with it and choose the first dialogue option to officially unlock your Grimoire ultimate skill.
Equipping and Managing Your Ultimate
After unlocking the ultimate power, open your control settings menu to inspect and rebind the activation key to match your preference. Always test the timing and range of the ability before heading into serious PvP or boss encounters.
Note: If you decide to reroll your Grimoire for a different magic type in the future, you must defeat the spirit boss again to unlock the ultimate associated with your new Grimoire.
