Character Profile

Aloof and solitary by nature, maintaining complete silence beyond strictly necessary dialogue.

Beneath her unassuming guise lies a woman of mysterious origins. Recruited into Mirage years ago, she swiftly earned the master's trust and now commands the colossal dragon barge Silver Dragon across southern Wulin waterways.

Yet whenever she confronts Soul and Zuo Shang—sent by the Order to investigate the southern martial world—her expression turns inscrutable. What role will she ultimately play in this tangled web? Only time will tell.

Ability Profile

Yinling moves with blinding agility, darting across the battlefield like a streak of silver light. Before her adversaries even realize what happened, her daggers have already cut deep into their flesh.

Yin Ling's greatest threat remains her peerless archery. Backed by nimble acrobatics and channeled Sha-Qi, she can loose a deadly hail of arrows in a split second. The moment they strike, the compressed Killing Intent in each arrowhead detonates into a devastating blast, leaving ordinary foes virtually nowhere to hide.

Yinling's deadliest finisher unfolds when she unleashes her full might. Surpassing her Phase 1 agility several times over, she dashes up in the blink of an eye to launch her foe into the air with a blinding flurry. As the target hangs defenseless, she leaps backward, firing a volley of arrows before instantly detonating the Killing Intent infused within them, leaving her enemy obliterated.

Background & History

Early History

Five years before the founding of The Order, a daughter named Yin Ling was born to a nomad family on the Starfall Plains in the northern reaches of the Shadow Realm.

From her youth roaming the boundless steppes alongside her parents, Yin Ling honed peerless marksmanship, capable of striking wild geese out of the sky with effortless grace.

Yet in Year 15 of The Order, it all came to an abrupt end.

In Year 15 of The Order, ethnic tensions in the north erupted into a ruthless blood feud across the steppe. Caught in the conflagration, Yin Ling and her younger sister Chi Yue lost both their parents and the nomadic clan they called home.

Just as the foreign marauders' blades were poised to end their lives, an enigmatic figure in green appeared. With a mere wave of his sleeve, the feral attackers collapsed in droves.

From that day on, the grasslands lost a girl named "Yinling," replaced instead by "The Order"...an extraordinarily talented Mortal Emissary emerged."

Upon joining the Order, Yin Ling never ceased her relentless archery drills. She threw herself into lethal missions shunned by others without hesitation, all to repay her life debt to Master Ming, the cyan-robed savior who granted her a second chance.

Ten busy yet fulfilling years flew by for Yin Ling within "The Order." Just as she believed she and her sister could live out their days in lasting peace, an unexpected assignment arrived to alter the course of her life forever.

Dispatched to the South

In Year 25 of The Order, the Master entrusted Yin Ling with a top-secret mission: travel to the South Martial World to investigate the elusive "Demon Lord Sky-Barge" drifting across southern skies, find a way to breach its hull, and establish a beachhead for The Order's future campaign.

Accepting the assignment without hesitation, Yin Ling stole a final glance at her sleeping sister that night. She seized her Goose Feather Bow and ventured south without looking back, slipping alone into the Southern Martial World.

Over the following month, Silver Feather roamed every corner of the southern martial realm. Stalking her prey from the shadows, she executed countless ghost-masked assassins with unmatched archery; before her marks could even spot her silhouette or fathom where the lethal arrows came from, their lives were already forfeit.

Wandering through the Southern Martial World, Yinling quietly conducted her own investigations. Operating alone, she could only confirm that these assassins had undergone grotesque modifications, leaving their physiology fundamentally distinct from ordinary martial artists.

Little did she imagine back then that she, too, would one day undergo the very same bodily modifications.

As Yin Ling repeatedly shattered the Demon King ship's network across the Southern Wulin, she caught the undivided attention of the shadowy syndicate. Determined to capture the phantom-like rogue, commanders Ghost-Faced Gentleman, Water Ghost, and Blade Rakshasa mobilized in unison. Boxed in by legions of masked assassins and elite enforcers, Yin Ling was ultimately overpowered and captured alive.

Even under intense scrutiny, Yinling never breathed a word about her true origins or motives; in the end, her pursuers could only dig up traces of her life prior to entering The Order.

With an unblemished background paired with peerless archery and footwork, she soon captured the attention of the mysterious Order's master.

Roused from unconsciousness by sharp throbs of pain, Yin Ling opened her eyes to find herself in a bed, encircled by grotesque figures—people in name only, as several had already cast off any semblance of humanity.

Among the crowd, a long-haired man seated in a four-wheeled chair stood out with an unsettling grin. Smirking maliciously, he announced his purpose in an eerie cadence Yinling had never heard before.

"Hehehe, impressive! You actually passed the trial! Welcome aboard—from this day forth, you're officially one of us."

A foreign power surged through Yin Ling's veins without warning, signaling that she was no longer who she once was. Deep within her chest, her heart hammered wildly, entirely beyond her control.

The sinister chorus around the long-haired man burst into wicked sneers as well,

"A humble welcoming gift... Hehehe, feel that power coursing through you?"

"Since you care so much about this dump, the master says it's all yours."

"Those fiends in town you've crossed blades with—the Blade Rakshasas, the Water Ghosts—are now at your beck and call as well."

"Of course, that contraption in your chest is strictly experimental. Step even an inch outside the Southern Wulin, and if anything goes wrong, you're on your own, hehehe."

On this day, Yin Ling learned for the very first time about "Mirage"...this syndicate, pledging allegiance to the long-haired man known as the Master of Mirage."

Relying on unmatched skill, Yinling rose swiftly within the Mirage, ultimately becoming the sole confidante of its master and receiving supreme command over their Southern Wulin forces.

Perched high within enemy ranks, she knew The Order was poised to annex the Southern Wulin in a few years' time. Her mission demanded utter restraint—she had to endure the shadows and bide her time as their inside operative.

Throughout this time, her investigation unmasked a shadowy council known as the 'Eleven Pavilion' pulling the strings behind the Lord of Mirage. The Southern Mirage was merely a smokescreen—the true syndicate was vastly more formidable than she had ever imagined.

Trapped in a suffocating web of constant surveillance, jealousy, and suspicion, she longed incessantly to return to The Order. Yet her altered heart was a poisoned gift: in granting her lethal prowess, it also bound her to a Heart-Piercing spell. The moment she fled Mirage, her arteries would burst—she was a caged songbird trapped behind barbed wire, with no hope of ever flying free.

She had no choice but to wait—a long, solitary vigil that dragged on for five agonizing years.

Battle of Mirage

In Year 29 of The Order, someone namedXuanyu joined the Mirage, claiming to be a former Human Envoy of "The Order" who offered to reveal all of their southern martial world deployments in exchange for entry.

Doubts lingered in Yin Ling's mind. Though Xuan Yu seemed courteous, gentle as jade, and effortlessly charming, her instincts warned her that this man harbored depths far more complex than his polished facade suggested.

Yin Ling had dropped subtle hints probing Xuan Yu, asking why he would sabotage his established footing in 'The Order' just to defect to Mirage. Xuan Yu merely offered a faint smile and replied with an enigmatic remark:

"Perhaps only the truly wise can decipher my designs. I know not what you hope for, my lady, but I fear the outcome will only bring disappointment." Yin Ling never laid eyes on Xuan Yu again—not until word arrived of his demise at the hands of the Ghost-Faced Gentleman.

Months drifted by until Yin Ling feared she had been completely forgotten, doomed to waste away her days—until The Order finally mobilized its forces to storm the Mirage.

Resolute in her mission, she began laying false trails—determined both to lure them into the depths and to confound the Mirage Master.

On July 10 in Year 30 of The Order, Yin Ling boarded a skiff alone, crossed the great bridge, and plunged into the Boundless Black Forest to track down The Order.

Shadowy cocoons cloaked the Black Forest, where towering, sightless trees reached toward the sky. Moving with silent grace, she scaled a blind tree to slip past Mirage's scouts—not out of fear, but simply to avoid unwanted company.

At dawn, sheltered behind a tangle of dead boughs in the mist, Yin Ling spied from afar upon Wanxiewang—the cocooned sovereign biding time deep within the dark forest, entangled in a pact of convenience with the Master of the Mirage.

Now on his last breath, Wan Xiewang lay surrounded by members of The Order. Standing closest, weapons aimed at his vitals, were two youths clad in black and purple. The youth in black radiated sheer ferocity, his crimson blade steaming with boiling blood; the youth in purple remained serene and poised, his sword sheathed as if he had never even fought. A decade earlier, their striking prowess might have stirred Yin Ling's heart, but the days of maidenly infatuation were long behind her.

Only Xuan Yu's bequest could have guided them here—yet that bequest proved to be nothing more than a pawn in an elaborate conspiracy: venom poured ceaselessly from the Myriad Evil King, threatening to drag everyone present from "The Order" down into death alongside him.

Xuanyu did survive after all, plotting to pit The Order against the Mirage until both collapsed so he could reap the spoils. Yet whoever betrays The Order is ultimately bound to fall.

Drawing back her bow, Yin Ling took a measured breath and loosed an arrow dead into the heart of the Myriad Evil King.

His fate sealed, the King of Evils hung lifelessly upon the Blind Tree, leaving behind a feeble, dying gasp: "How could it be... you?"

Feigning a frosty detachment, her crimson lips parted slightly: "Hmph. Merely a discarded pawn."

Ignoring the young pair's interrogations, Yin Ling melted swiftly into the shadows. Tethered to an arrow was a message directing them to Luocheng—her plan to guide The Order step by step toward dismantling Mirage. Placing all her faith in them, she believed they would topple Mirage and bring down Xuan Yu, even though she would never live to witness that day.

Yin Ling knew she was nothing more than a pawn, yet even a pawn holds the power to sway the board—if only across her corner of the game.

On the 11th, Yin Ling stood at the prow of the Mirage's flagship, the Silver Dragon, anchored along the inland river of Luocheng. Surrounded by legions of Mirage assassins and armed with heavy cannons and siege crossbows, she prepared to stage a solo performance against the young pursuers sent by "The Order."

That afternoon, as the prearranged dragon boat appeared in the distance, Yinling knew the two youths were arriving on board.

Confronting the pair, Silver Feather kept up the pretense that she sought their 'Eyes of Mystic Jade.' Once negotiations collapsed, she steered the Silver Dragon forward, engaging the two youths in a fierce naval duel upon the mighty river.

Battered by her own cannon fire repeatedly deflected by the two youths, the Silver Dragon was breached. Acknowledging their prowess in silence, Silver Crest piloted her vessel into the misty river to vanish, retreating into the deep Luocheng sewers where Mirage operated its drug refinery.

On the night of the 12th, Yin Ling stalked from the shadows as The Order's agents cornered and subdued the "Water Ghost" lurking in the sewers. Sensing the creature preparing to dive into the current to escape, she loosed a lethal arrow to finish it on the spot, then pulled back to lure The Order's cadre deeper toward Guze Fort.

On the 13th, Yin Ling watched from afar as the operatives of "The Order" broke through in force.Ci'erFacing the automatons "Mie" and "Yanshi", Silver Feather stepped in upon seeing Ci'er recklessly commit to a death match with the Order, urging her to pilot Mie away before vanishing into the shadows once more.

Having slipped away, Yin Ling returned aboard the Mirage airship. With the Order on the verge of bringing the vessel down, she knew she had one final duty to fulfill before the end.

On the 15th, after a tense wait deep inside the Mirage airship, Yin Ling was confronted by The Order's strike force—only to be struck with disbelief upon finding her own sister, Chi Yue, among their ranks.

Hearing her sister's desperate calls, Silver Feather yearned to reveal the whole truth. Yet she knew she could not afford to disclose her true identity just yet—until then, she had no choice but to fight them to the bitter end.

That day, Yin Ling fought an extraordinary battle against them. Shafts descended from the heavens like a blizzard of razor-sharp plumes, weaving a breathtaking, tragic finale.

Following a fierce flurry of blades, she fell gracefully to the Order's forces, finding peace in defeat. In her dying breaths, Yin Ling confessed her true identity and shared everything she knew with her sister and comrades. Turning to Chi Yue, she whispered her final message for the Master: "Yin Ling's mission is fulfilled; the debt of gratitude is repaid." She passed away at the age of thirty-five, leaving behind crucial intelligence that proved instrumental in dismantling Mirage.

Bearing endless humiliation only to perish on foreign soil, Yin Ling foresaw her tragic end the moment she accepted the mission.

She harbored no regrets, feeling only serene release.

At last, her task was complete and the debt of gratitude repaid. As her eyes gently closed, a smile graced her face—her heart soaring free, like a feather drifting through the endless heavens.
