Soul serves as an Emissary of The Order under the codename "Black Wound." His spectral agility and lethal martial arts trace back to the fallen lineage of Dark Demon Castle, as does his signature blade, Black Wound, one of the stronghold's three treasures. Born a scion of Dark Demon Castle, Soul is the second son of its former master Mo Tian, and the younger brother of Mo Jian.

Rescued alongside his brother Mo Jian as infants when Dark Demon Sky Fortress fell, Soul was subsequently separated and raised by others. In Soul's earliest, hazy recollections, a towering man carried him running through raging flames—a memory that haunted his nightmares for years. He was raised in Nancheng by an unwed woman who bore the brunt of neighborhood gossip for keeping a child. When his adoptive mother passed away during his twelfth year, Soul sold himself to an underground fighting ring in Nancheng to afford her burial. There he befriended Zuo Shang, another sold youth. The two eventually broke free and drifted across the martial realm, resorting to unsavory deeds to survive.

Following his foster mother's passing, Soul roamed the Jianghu with Zuo Shang. Their wanderings brought them dangerously close to unearthing the martial world's darkest truth, nearly costing Soul his irreplaceable keepsake, the Black Heart. When a dispute in Jiangnan led to Zuo Shang mistakenly killing Master Breeze, righteous sects hunted them down, yet the crisis only solidified their conviction to achieve greatness through sheer strength. Right then, a middle-aged figure appeared, unveiling a grander cause. Taken in by the mysterious and peerless "Order," the pair were drilled into terrifying combatants who spearheaded the syndicate's bloody expansion. Over years of surviving near-fatal trials as an Emissary of the Order, Soul evolved into a formidable bladesman, living up to the lofty hopes of his adoptive patriarch, Mu Tianmiao.

Soul's life has been an agonizing saga of being manipulated, haunted since childhood by two relentless curses: recurring nightmares of an inferno and a shadowed figure turning slowly around with an obscured face; and abrupt surges of inexplicable Killing Intent that warp his consciousness, fueling an enduring dread that the bloodlust will consume his mind and trigger an irredeemable catastrophe.

In Year 30 of the Order, Soul's stellar conduct across campaigns like Jiange and Moon Fortress earned him a pivotal assignment: probing the enigmas of Mirage in the Southern Martial World. Alongside Zuo Shang, he distinguished himself in the conflict and unmasked the mastermind behind Mirage. Impressed, the Patriarch elevated Soul into the Order's inner sanctum. Yet even as the two companions drifted apart, Soul never doubted their bond, clinging steadfastly to the childhood oath they had sworn to carve their own monumental legacy into the martial world.

In Year 30 of The Order, Soul returned as the central figure. With his longtime comrade Zuo Shang venturing deep into the vast desert to hunt down the Cabal of Eleven, Soul—the operative most adept against Mirage—stood alone as the vanguard in a grueling war against the syndicate. A decade later in Year 40, manipulated by his closest confidant and his beloved, Soul inadvertently struck down The Order's Master. Branded a traitor and pursued across the realm, he was critically wounded in a duel with Zuo Shang. Desperate to fight back, Soul underwent the enigmatic physician Ghost Hand's forbidden "Art of the Poisoned Heart." Though his martial arts were restored, he was left with merely sixty-four days to live. With time slipping away, Soul set out on an irreversible quest to settle every score, even as the martial realm plunged into turmoil from The Order's bloody civil strife.

Aloof and solitary at first glance, Soul might easily be dismissed as a typical taciturn swordsman. Beneath that distant shell, however, beats a fiercely loyal heart that prizes brotherhood above all. While composed for the most part, youth and passion still occasionally betray him, leading to impetuous missteps.

Lean and lanky with piercing, soulful eyes, he favors plain black cloth to slip effortlessly into the shadows, offset off-duty by an extravagant red cloak.

Sha-Qi: The foundation behind every technique, capable of empowering select skills to greater heights. Consuming concoctions like Mourning Medicine unleashes a technique's absolute peak potential. Killing Intent: An alternate term, though its destructive potency is ten times greater than ordinary Sha-Qi.

Extinction Slash: Black Wound's clan-clearing blade technique, dealing fatal hits to multiple foes while inflicting a weakening debuff; when empowered, it can wipe out several top masters in a single stroke. Annihilation – Soul's ultimate technique, whose singular strike is completely unblockable across the martial world. One of The Order's Emissaries, Xiao Si is an eccentric figure of elusive habits. The most enigmatic operative in the syndicate, little is known of his true background, yet his assassination mastery ranks among the elite.

Of mysterious origins, rumors say Xiao Si was once a lone-wolf assassin scouted by Mu Tianmiao, leader of the Order. Upon joining, he quickly rose to become one of their elite emissaries, executing their most perilous contracts.

Xiao Si served alongside fellow Order emissaries Soul, Zuo Shang, An Chan, and Xu Kong. Solitary and distant, he rarely socialized with his peers, yet was unfailingly dependable on missions. During the Order's civil strife, his true allegiance became a mystery.
