Character Profile

The Order's only publicly recognized Class-A Ghost Messenger, Yu commands peerless martial power. Forged by fusing and altering the 'Blaster' and 'Blade Ghost'—two of the former Three Fiends of Moon Fortress—this construct is plagued by a fractured psyche; whenever Yu's split personas clash, combat effectiveness plummets dramatically.

Ability Profile

The monstrosity known as Yu was born from the twisted merging of Demonic Blast and Blade Ghost. Harnessing their bottomless malice as a fuel source, The Order warped their hatred into power, causing Yu's strikes to unleash surges of dark-violet Sha-Qi that conjure horrifying visions of screaming specters lunging at victims.

Following their grotesque modification, Yu commands four arms and four legs, dual-wielding scythes and heavy cleavers. When fighting in perfect synchronization, their strikes flow like an unbroken storm, denying foes any chance to exploit an opening.

Background & History

Early History

Bao Mo and Ren Gui were once the proudest pupils of Lord Yueshang, master of the Moon Fortress. Bao Mo was hulking and hot-headed, while the lanky Ren Gui harbored a rebellious streak that regularly pitted him against both his senior and their master.

Though worlds apart in personality, habits, and martial disciplines, both harbor deep affections for the very same woman: their junior disciple sister, Hua Yao.

Slender and lovely as moonlight on lotus ponds, this Flower Demon charmed young martial artists across Jianghu.

Beyond their daily martial training, Bao Mo and Ren Gui spent nearly all their waking hours devising ways to please their beloved junior sister.

Much to their dismay, Hua Yao held no affection for either of them. Treating both strictly as senior martial brothers with lukewarm detachment, she remained unmoved no matter how hard the two vied for her heart.

In early Year 30 of The Order, seeking to secure his rear flank before striking into the Southern Wulin, the Master of The Order launched a massive assault against Moon Citadel. The Order first blockaded all maritime escape routes, then unleashed their Ghost Executioners to swarm and breach the stronghold.

That fateful night began with Lord Yueshang succumbing to poisoned wine. Though Explosive Demon and Blade Ghost mounted a desperate stand—slaughtering Rank-C Ghost Emissaries and keeping mortal agents at bay—neither could track the phantom-like assault of a youth clad in black. Outmatched by his spectral speed, they were forced into retreat, setting Moon Fortress ablaze behind them.

Surrounded by raging infernos, Blaster Fiend intended to perish alongside Moon Bastion, but Blade Ghost dragged him away in desperation. As they fled, a falling burning beam crushed them, snapping Blaster Fiend's spine and crippling Blade Ghost's arm. As they dragged their half-conscious bodies from the wreckage, a towering silhouette emerged and effortlessly hauled them both away.

Days later, the two awoke in a chilling, pitch-black dungeon cell. Bandage-masked figures stood looming over them with surgical instruments in hand, sneering that they were about to participate in a grand experiment.

From that moment on, the conflicted Demon Blade Ghost ceased to exist, replaced by 'Yu'—the first First-Class Ghost Messenger in the history of The Order.

A spine-chilling Grade-A Nether Envoy whose bifurcated frame bears four arms, four legs, and two conjoined faces. It is best he remains hidden, for the sheer malevolence radiating from his presence would ravage anything in his gaze.

Their only flaw is a lack of alignment; the instant friction arises between them, their combat prowess degrades drastically.

As for Flower Demon, her whereabouts vanished without a trace, leaving Na Yu with a lifelong vow: to track down his junior sister and take her as his bride.

In Year 40 of The Order, the old Master was murdered; Emissary Zuo Shang claimed the throne and took command of "Yu."

Following word that Soul had defeated both Lei Dang and Leng Tu at Broken Soul Cliff on the 16th of June, Zuo Shang officially dispatched Yu to eliminate Dark Soul.

Rainblood 2: City of Flame

On the seventeenth day of the seventh month, Year 40 of The Order, Yu lay in ambush inside the Reaper Workshop under Zuo Shang's orders, waiting for young mistress Mu Xiaokui. When she arrived with her escorts, prearranged Reapers turned on her. Yu capitalized on the assault, effortlessly wiping out her retinue and severely wounding Mu Xiaokui before slipping back into the shadows to use her broken body as bait for Soul.

Late in the afternoon, Soul reached the depths of the Nether Workshop to check on the wounded Xiao Kui, only for Yu to ambush them. Soul cleverly invoked the name of Yu's fellow apprentice, Flower Specter, igniting a fierce quarrel between Yu's dual personalities and seizing the opening to strike his divided foe.

Growing frantic as Soul held his ground, Yu wavered until the 'Ren Gui' persona suggested cutting their losses and seeking out their junior sister. With 'Bao Mo' in agreement, the fractured soul fled the Ghost Emissary Workshop, vanishing without a trace.
