Phantom Edges
In Phantom Blade Zero, Phantom Edges serve as secondary armaments that the protagonist uses to harm enemies and Bosses. Built to complement primary combat styles, they grant extra offensive maneuvers and unlock specialized movement techniques for both battle and exploration. What are Phantom Edges in Phantom Blade Zero?
In Phantom Blade Zero, Phantom Edges serve as potent secondary armaments with limited charges, encompassing bows, hand cannons, axes, and hammers. Your primary loadout slots are instead dedicated to Primary Weapons like Regular Swords, Long Swords, and Dual Swords. Each distinct Phantom Edge unlocks tailored abilities designed for particular battle scenarios, with certain tools excelling at ranged skirmishes while others concentrate purely on inflicting heavy burst damage.

Players can equip the Night Owl Phantom Edge, a bow geared toward striking targets from range. Alternatively, the Flaming Mane projects surges of fire to inflict Fire Damage, serving as a prime tool whenever fire-based harm is needed in battle.
How many Phantom Edges can you equip?
Players are able to carry up to 2 Phantom Edges in tandem with their 2 Primary Blades, freely alternating between either Phantom Edge mid-encounter. Moreover, unlike Primary Weapons, transitioning between Phantom Edges is completely unhindered by switch cooldowns.

Phantom Edges do carry limitations, however. These tools have finite uses that deplete resources upon activation, sharing their pool of charges between both equipped Phantom Edges and restoring them only at checkpoints.
How Can I Acquire Phantom Edges in Phantom Blade Zero?
The trial demo provides several secondary Phantom Edge arms directly in your starting inventory, consisting of the Night Owl, Man-Cutter, Flaming Mane, and Ink-Cut.
Presently, Phantom Edges can only be acquired as rewards or drops from boss battles, signaling that the majority of these armaments will be earned by vanquishing key foes throughout the journey. A prime instance is the Bashpole Phantom Edge, surrendered by Wan Jun "Coppermaul" upon his defeat.
